Preparation chalcogenide glassy thin films doped by rare earth elements using spin-coating technique

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá přípravou tenkých vrstev As-S dopovaných ionty lanthanoidů (Ln) metodou rotačního nanášení. Byla připravena skla As30S70 a As15S85 a organolanthanoidové prekurzory Ln(NCN)3, kde Ln = Pr, Tb nebo Er. Tato skla i prekurzory byly rozpuštěny v propylaminu a výsledné roztoky použity k depozici tenkých vrstev rotačním nanášením. Deponované vrstvy byly stabilizovány temperací a byly studovány jejich vlastnosti různými charakterizačními technikami s důrazem na optické vlastnosti. Fotoluminiscenční emise z iontů Ln3+ byla pozorována pouze v případě vrstev dopovaných Er3+.

Abstract:

BSc. Thesis deals with the preparation of lanthanide(Ln)-doped As-S thin films by the spin-coating technique. The As30S70 and As15S85 glasses as well as organolanthanide compounds Ln(NCN)3, where Ln = Pr, Tb or Er, have been synthesized. These glasses and precursors were dissolved with propylamine and resulting solutions were used for deposition of thin films by spin-coating. As-deposited films were stabilized by their annealing and studied with a variety of characterization methods with emphasis on optical properties. The Ln3+ photoluminescence emission was observed only in Er3+-doped thin films.
