Measurement of dynamic pressure in the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine

Abstract:

Autor se v diplomové práci zaměřuje na problematiku týkající se měření tlaků v plynové části spalovacího motoru, konkrétně v sacím a výfukovém potrubí a ve spalovacím prostoru válce. V úvodu práce je popsán stručný vývoj spalovacích motorů a jejich fungování. Další část je zaměřena na obecné informace o tlaku jako veličině, přístrojích pro měření tlaku a principech jejich fungování. Značná část práce je zaměřena na měření tlaku prováděné u automobilů. Zde jsou popsány měřící zařízení a způsoby, jak jednotlivé měření provádět. V kapitole „Měření tlaku v sání a výfuku motoru“, autor popisuje jednotlivé části, v kterých probíhá měření praktické části práce, popisuje experiment zabývající se měřením amplitudy v sacím potrubí motoru a vybírá vhodný tlakový senzor pro praktickou část práce. Autor se v práci věnuje také popisu zkoušeného motoru opatřeného turbodmychadlem typu Twin-scroll. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny výsledky měření a grafy se zpracovanými daty.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the issue of measuring pressures in the gas part of the internal combustion engine, specifically in the intake and exhaust manifold and in the combustion chamber of the cylinder. The introduction describes the brief development of internal combustion engines and their operation. The next part is focused on general information about pressure as a quantity, pressure measuring devices and the principles of their function. Significant part is focused on measuring pressure in cars and also there are described measuring devices and ways how individual measurements perform. In the chapter "Pressure Measurement of intake and exhaust in engine", the author describes the individual parts in which the measurement of practice part of the thesis is taken, describes the experiment dealing with amplitude measurement in the engine intake manifold and selects a suitable pressure sensor for the practical part of the work. The author also describes the tested engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger. In the last part are the results of measurements and graphs with processed data.
