Evaluation of a company financial situation and business performance in conditions of IAS/IFRS

Abstract:

Finanční analýza účetních výkazů poskytuje obraz o finančním zdraví podniku a podává stávajícím i budoucím vlastníkům, věřitelům a dalším uživatelům účetních výkazů zprávu o úspěšnosti podniku. Aby byla zajištěna relevantní srovnání podniků působících v různých zemích EU, používající různá účetní pravidla, byla již v roce 2003 v rámci evropské integrace přijata opatření, která nařizují podnikům obchodovaným na burze EU předkládat účetní závěrku sestavenou podle jednotných mezinárodních účetních pravidel (IAS/IFRS). Vzniká otázka, jak se změní hodnocení úspěšnosti českého podniku při použití IAS/IFRS oproti pravidlům České účetní legislativy (ČÚL). V teoretické části za účelem provedení finanční analýzy podle ČÚL a IAS/IFRS porovnávám vybrané rozdíly účetních pravidel obou účetních systémů. V praktické části na účetních výkazech sestavených podle ČÚL i IAS/IFRS zkoumám, zda vlivem účtování v IAS/IFRS dojde oproti ČÚL ke změně hodnocení finanční situace a výkonnosti podniku.

Abstract:

Financial analysis of financial statements giving a view of the financial health of the company and serves existing and potential owners, creditors, and other users of financial statements report on the success of the company. To ensure meaningful comparisons businesses operating in different countries EU with different accounting rules, was in 2003 in the framework of European integration measures, ordering the companies traded on the stock EU to submit financial statements prepared in accordance with uniform international accounting rules (IAS/IFRS). The question arises, how to change the ratings success of the undertaking in the application of IAS/IFRS rules against Czech accounting legislation (ČÚL). To perform financial analysis ČÚL according to IAS/IFRS accounting differences comparing the basic rules of both accounting systems in the theoretic part. I examine the financial statements prepared according ČÚL and IAS/IFRS. I evaluate whether the influence of accounting in IAS/IFRS will change compared ČÚL in the practical part. For further I examine the financial situation and performance of the company in both financial statements.
