Cílem předkládané magisterské práce je skrze memoárovou literaturu odhalit život a dílo Jana Karafiáta. Výchozím memoárovým dílem se pro nás stala práce Jana Karafiáta „Paměti spisovatele Broučků“. V úvodu práce získáváme teoretické poznatky o memoárové literatuře, určujeme její hlavní znaky a pokoušíme se ji typově zařadit. Abstract:
In the thesis, the life and work of Jan Karafiát is scrutinized by using memoirs. The memoir “Paměti spisovatele Broučků” has been the fundamental work in the analysis. Theoretical background on memoirs is provided in the introductory part including its typology and basic features.
