Women's role in Muslim-Sunni society in Egypt from the perspectives of those women and Czech community

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma "Úloha ženy v muslimské-sunnitské společnosti v Egyptě z pohledu těchto žen a české veřejnosti" se zabývá muslimskými ženami a jejich postavením v islámu, jejich právy a současně bakalářská práce zjišťuje povědomí české veřejnosti o úlohách a právech muslimských žen v Egyptě. Práce obsahuje teoretickou část, kde se zabýváme historií islámu, důležitými náležitostmi víry, které jsou pro muslimy specifické, a zároveň si vysvětlujeme, kde jsou tato pravidla obsaženy. V teoretické části najdeme také vysvětlení pojmu "džihád", zabýváme se islámským právem a v neposlední řadě řešíme otázku zahalování žen, jejich vzdělávání v islámských zemích, ženskou obřízku, manželství (polygamie) a práva žen v případě zániku manželství. Empirická část obsahuje kvalitativní i kvantitativní výzkum. Na základě rozhovorů (kvalitativní výzkum), které jsme realizovali s muslimskými ženami v Egyptě, jsme vytvořili dotazníky (kvantitativní výzkum) pro českou veřejnost a dle výsledků jsme vytvořili analýzu, ze které plyne, do jaké míry se shoduje povědomí české veřejnosti o muslimských ženách a realita, ve které tyto ženy v Egyptě vyrůstají a žijí. Bakalářská práce má informativní význam - přiblížení každodenního života egyptských muslimských žen v současnosti. Výsledkem práce je rozšíření povědomí o ženách v islámu, v lepším případě prolomení stereotypů české veřejnosti vůči ženám v islámu.

Abstract:

The Bachelor Thesis with the topics "Women's role in Muslim-Sunni society in Egypt from the perspectives of those women and Czech community" is focused on Muslim women and their roles in Islam, their rights and concurrently the Bachelor Thesis finds out the knowledge of Czech community about these women in Egypt. The theoretical part of Thesis contains the historical concept of Islam, important sets of rules of faith which are very specifics for Muslim community and simultaneously is explained where these rules are contained. In the theoretical part is also explained concept of "jihad", we deal with the Islamic law and last but not least we deal with the question of veiling of Muslim women, their education, female genital mutilation, marriage and women's rights in the case of divorce. The empirical part contains qualitative and quantitative research. Based on interview (qualitative research) which we implemented with Muslim women we created questionnaires (quantitative research) for the Czech community and according to results were constructed analysis in which we found out if the knowledge of Czech community about women in Islam is in conformity with the reality of the life Egyptian women in Islam. The Bachelor Thesis has informative meaning - approach everyday life of Muslim women in Egypt at present. The outcome of Thesis is knowledge enlargement for Czech community about women in Islam in the best case breaking of stereotypes Czech community towards women in Islam.
