Abstract:
This bachelor thesis focuses on decorative paintings in five rural churches, which belonged to the system of parishes incorporated to a Premonstratensian monastery in Geras, Lower Austria. These paintings stemmed from a specific artistic strategy of Paul Gratschmayer (1746–1780), an abbot of the discussed monastery.
