Dental hygiene of patients with implants

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dentální hygieny u pacientů s implantáty. Práce je zaměřena na současně nejrozšířenější typ implantátu v praxi – enoseální šroubový. Úvod se zaobírá historickým vývojem dentální implantologie, popisuje implantát a materiálové možnosti, indikace a kontraindikace a základní odlišnosti mezi parodontální a periimplantární tkání. Práce dále mapuje úkony v pre – implantologické fázi, na kterou navazuje vlastní implantace a fáze post – implantologická. Jednotlivé fáze jsou popsány z pohledu dentálního hygienisty. V závěru teoretické části jsou zmíněny možné komplikace implantologické léčby, mezi které řadíme perimukositis a periimplantitis, doplněny o současné terapeutické možnosti v rámci dentální hygieny. Praktická část je zpracovaná formou dotazníkového šetření a vyšetření pacientů s použitím indexu BOP. Cílem bylo zmapovat péči vzorku implantologických pacientů o dutinu ústní a porovnat, jak se změnily návyky pacientů před implantací a po zavedení implantátu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with problematics of dental hygiene in patients with implants. The thesis is focused on the most widely used type – enoseal screw shaped implant. Introduction is concerned with the historical development of dental implantology, describes material options, indications and contraindications and fundamental differences between periodontal and periimplant tissues. The thesis also deals with the pre – implantatological phase, followed by own implantation and the post - implantological phase. The individual phases are described from the point of view of the dental hygienist. At the end of the theoretical part are mentioned possible complications of implantological treatment, including perimucositis and periimplantitis, supplemented by current therapeutic possibilities in dental hygiene. The practical part is processed by means of a questionnaire survey and examination of patients using the BOP index. The aim was to map the care of implant patients to the oral cavity and to compare how habits of patiens changed before and after implantation.
