Possibilities of influencing the deformity hallux valgus in physiotherapy

Abstract:

Úvod: Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi ovlivnění hallux valgus pomocí fyzioterapeutických metod a fyzioterapeutických konceptů. Obsahem hlavní části práce je fyzioterapeutická intervence u pacientky s postupnou progresí hallux valgus. Cíl práce: Cílem práce je přispět vybranými fyzioterapeutickými postupy, metodami a koncepty k řešení problematiky u pacienta s deformitou předonoží hallux valgus. Metodika: Hlavní část popisuje kazuistiku 22leté ženy po porodu s progredující deformitou předonoží hallux valgus. Fyzioterapeutická intervence proběhla v období od 8. 12. 2022 do 17. 2. 2023. Před a po fyzioterapeutické intervenci proběhlo měření na tenzometrické desce Footscan. Provedeno bylo jedno statické a šest dynamických měření. Poté byly z dynamického měření vybrány hodnoty rozložení tlaku zvlášť pro každou nohu, celkem tak vzniklo 9 hodnot pro jednotlivé zóny na každé noze. Tyto hodnoty pak byly zprůměrovány. Tato data byla po skončení terapií porovnána. Během fyzioterapeutické intervence byly využity následující metodologické nástroje: rozhovor, pozorování a měření. Při první terapii byla odebrána anamnéza a byl proveden vstupní kineziologický rozbor a byl zhotoven krátkodobý fyzioterapeutický plán. Po skončení terapií byl proveden výstupní kineziologický rozbor a zhotoven dlouhodobý fyzioterapeutický plán. Výsledky: Fyzioterapeutickou intervencí došlo ke zmírnění valgozity palce a k odstranění bolesti prvního metatarzophalangeálního kloubu nohy. Závěry: Konzervativní terapií lze ovlivnit valgozitu palce.

Abstract:

Introduction: The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of influencing hallux valgus using physiotherapy methods and physiotherapy concepts. The content of the main part of the thesis is physiotherapy intervention in a patient with gradual progression of hallux valgus. The objective: The aim of the work is to contribute to solving the problem of physiotherapy in a patient with deformity of the forefoot hallux valgus. Methodology: The main part describes the case report of a 22-year-old postpartum woman with gradual hallux valgus forefoot deformity. Physiotherapy intervention took place in the period from 8th December 2022 to 17th February 2023. Before and after the physiotherapy intervention, measurements were taken on the Footscan tensometric plate. One static and six dynamic measurements were performed. After that, the pressure distribution values were selected separately for each leg from the dynamic measurement, resulting in a total of 9 values for individual zones on each leg. These data were compared after the end of the physiotherapy. The following methodological tools were used during the physiotherapy intervention: interview, observation and measurement. During the first therapy, an anamnesis was taken and an initial kinesiological analysis was carried out, and a short-term physiotherapy plan was drawn up. After the end of the therapy, a final kinesiological analysis was performed and a long-term physiotherapy plan was drawn up. Results: The thumb valgosity has been reduced by the physiotherapy intervention and the pain of the first metatarzophalangeal joint of the foot has been removed. Conclusions: Thumb valgosity can be influenced by the conservative therapy.
