Participatory mapping of the landscape in the area of the Hranicky Karst

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce na téma „Participativní mapování krajiny na území Hranického krasu“ se věnuje identifikaci hodnotných a problémových míst na území čtyř zájmových obcí Hranického krasu – Černotín, Skalička, Teplice nad Bečvou a Ústí, částečně je zahrnuto také město Hranice. Informace o těchto místech byly získány od dětské populace daných obcí v základních školách, a to za použití dotazníků, map a rozhovorů. Dále byl datový soubor doplněn o stejný typ informací od starostů obcí při rozhovoru a od dospělých obyvatel lokality přes webový dotazník. Tato data byla následně zkombinována s teoretickým základem (územní plány, Územní studie krajiny ORP Hranice, ekologické zátěže, záplavové území, zamokřené půdy aj.). Z těchto informací byla vytvořena problémová mapa, která může být v budoucnu užitečným podkladem pro územní plánování. Pro řadu vyznačených problémových míst (zemědělská družstva, lokalita podél řeky Bečvy či místní sportoviště) byly navrženy konkrétní možnosti budoucího rozvoje. Cílem práce bylo dále stanovit potenciál rozvoje území za použití všech získaných informací. Území se vyznačuje svou jedinečností, avšak negativem je slabé využití jeho potenciálu. Příležitost představuje zájem občanů účastnit se rozhodování, ale často se zde rozcházejí názory různých skupin aktérů. Z výsledků práce je možné říci, že participativní mapování se jeví jako vhodné doplnění běžně užívaných podkladů pro územní plánování.

Abstract:

The presented thesis on the topic " Participatory mapping of the landscape in the area of the Hranicky Karst" is devoted to the identification of valuable and problematic places in the area of four municipalities of interest in the Hranicky Karst - Černotín, Skalička, Teplice nad Bečvou and Ústí, the town of Hranice is also partially included. Information about these places was obtained from the child population of the given municipalities at primary schools using questionnaires, maps and interviews. Furthermore, the dataset was supplemented with the same type of information from mayors of municipalities during interviews and from adult population of the locality via a web questionnaire. These data were then combined with the theoretical basis (territorial plans, Territorial study of the landscape of ORP Hranice, ecological burdens, floodplains, wetlands, etc.). From this information, a problem map was created. That map can be a useful basis for spatial planning in the future. Concrete options were proposed for a number of marked problem areas (agricultural cooperatives, the location along the Bečva river or the local sports field) for future development. The goal of the work was also to determine the development potential of the area using all the information obtained. The territory is characterized by its uniqueness but the weak use of its potential is the negative. The interest of citizens to participate in decision-making represents opportunities but opinions of different groups of actors often diverge here. From the results of the work, it is possible to say that participatory mapping can be a suitable addition to commonly used documents for spatial planning.
