Social Work as a Tool to Support Active Ageing Policy in the Moravian-Silesian Region

Abstract:

Cílem disertační práce je porozumět a popsat jaká je role sociálních pracovníků v oblast politiky aktivního stárnutí na území Moravskoslezského kraje pohledem klíčových aktérů této politiky. Teoretický rámec práce je složen z popisu fenoménu stárnutí populace a souvisejících pojmů, dále je základem práce koncept aktivního stárnutí jako koncept sociální politiky a sociální práce. Pro dosažení stanoveného výzkumné cíle práce je zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie a metoda případové studie Moravskoslezského kraje. Výzkum je složen ze tří parciálních výzkumů a hlavního výzkumu. V diskuzi je provedena syntéza získaných výsledků jednotlivých výzkumů.

Abstract:

The purpose of the dissertation is to understand and describe the meanings attributed by those responsible for and involved in the implementation of the active ageing policy in the Moravian-Silesian region to social workers in the context of multidisciplinary cooperation in the process of implementing this policy. The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of a description of the phenomenon of population ageing and related concepts, and the concept of active ageing as a concept of social policy and social work. To achieve the stated research objective of the thesis, a qualitative research strategy and a case study method of the Moravian-Silesian region are chosen. The research consists of three partial researches and the main research. In the discussion a synthesis of obtained results of the individual research is made.
