From Avion to Noiva. History of the Place Inscribed into the Town

Abstract:

Café Avion was a symbol of unity of people with different nationalities and religions in the 30s of the twentieth century. There was a place where people met and spend some time together. The first was interrupted by II World War and persecutions of Jewish property. The Café Avion revived in the 90s, when artists from Theatre of Cieszyn reminded it in cycle Café Avion, which doesn´t exist. In 2010 it began to realize the construction of a new Café Avion that can again connected people and nostalgically recalls the old times.

Abstract:

Kawiarnia Avion była w latach 30 tych XX wieku symbolem jedności narodów i religii. Spotykali się tutaj ludzie różnego pochodzenia i religii, i wszyscy byli częścią wspólnoty kulturalnej. Pierwszy etap kawiarni został przerwany II wojną światową i prześladowaniami Żydów. Idea byłej kawiarni ożyła w 90 latach XX wieku, kiedy aktorzy Teatru Cieszyńskiego przyszykowali program pod nazwą W kawiarni Avion, której nie ma. W 2010 roku zaczęła się realizacja odbudowania nowej kawiarni. Dziś kawiarnia Avion znów łączy narody oraz z nostalgią przypomina dawne czasy.
