This bachelor thesis is focused on currently used folk urbanonyms in the urban districts of Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz and their relationship to official proper names. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic terms related to urbanonyms. The practical section has been developed based on data obtained from a questionnaire survey.
