Economic evaluation of chicken fattening

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je Ekonomické zhodnocení výkrmu kuřat ve vybraném podniku. V teoretické části je shrnuta současná situace produkce kuřat na území České republiky, na území Evropy a ve světě. V rámci České republiky je popsán stav produkce kuřat za posledních 10 let, dále struktura exportních a importních zemí a jejich procentuální podíl na dovozu a vývozu. Poté je zde představen vývoj a srovnání cen kuřecího masa za posledních 10 let. V práci jsou charakterizované optimální podmínky pro efektivní výkrm. Dále jsou popsány typické nemoci, se kterými se mohou chovatelé potýkat a jejich léčba. V praktické části se tato práce zabývá výpočty ekonomické efektivnosti výkrmu kuřat. Údaje k těmto výpočtům byly poskytnuty vybraným podnikem. Jedná se o dva výkrmy praktikované ve dvou odlišných halách. Do výpočtů byly zahrnuto 6. výkrmových cyklů. Ve SWOT analýze jsou poté shrnuty silné stránky, slabé stránky, hrozby a příležitosti výkrmu kuřat.

Abstract:

Subject of this diploma thesis is Economic evaluation of chicken fattening in the chosen company. The theoretical part summarizes current situation regarding chicken production in the Czech Republic, Europe, and the world. When it comes to the Czech Republic, the thesis describes the state of chicken production within the last 10 years, structure of the importing and exporting countries, and their percental share in total import and export. Following part of the thesis deals with the development and comparison of the meat prices within the last 10 years. The thesis also describes optimal conditions for effective fattening, as well as the typical illnesses which breeders could encounter, and the suitable therapy. Practical part of the thesis is focused on the calculation of economic efficiency of chicken fattening. Data required for the calculation was provided by the chosen company. The two fattening processes described in the thesis took place in two different rearing houses. The calculation includes six fattening cycles. The SWOT analysis summarizes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of chicken fattening.
