"Secularism", Constitution and Strong Position of the Army in Turkey from the Perspective of European Community

Abstract:

Jak již název napovídá, tato historická práce se zabývá problematikou sekularismu, ústavnosti a silné pozice armády v Turecku, a to vše v kontextu celospolečenského vývoje. Práce je orientována na roli islámu jako výrazného sociálního a integračního faktoru, která se odráží v celkové politice Turecké republiky. A tato situace je kritizována ze strany Evropské unie, která tímto poukazuje na ohrožování sekulárního charakteru Turecka. Ale je Turecko skutečně sekulární? Tato práce se snaží analyzovat charakter a specifičnost "sekularismu" v Turecku, a také hledat odpovědi na problémy, které se týkají jak vývoje silného postavení Turecké armády, tak také jednotlivých vydaných ústav."

Abstract:

Following the title, this historical work focus on the question of the secularismus, constitution and strong position of the army in Turkey. These main questions are investigated in the all - society context. The work dwells on the positon of the islam as strong social and integrating factor, which is obvious in turkish policy. This situation has been critised by EU. EU has pointed out that, this may threaten secular character of Turkey. But is Turkey really secular state? This work tries to analyze the character and particularity of the secularismus in Turkey.This work also tries to find the answers for the problem, which concers the development of the strong position of the army and also published constitutios.
