Balancing work and family life in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou slaďování pracovního a rodinného života v České republice a zaměřuje se na jeho různé podoby. První část práce je zaměřena na teoretická východiska – ženy na trhu práce, vysvětlení pojmů mateřská a rodičovská dovolená, možnosti slaďování pracovního a rodinného života a nabídka služeb péče o děti. Cílem práce je na základě literární rešerše oborových teorií prozkoumat podpůrné systémy, které matkám s kombinací těchto dvou životů pomáhají. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou života pracujících matek a dále jsou pomocí dotazníkového šetření analyzovány jejich podoby slaďování pracovního a rodinného života. V poslední části práce je shrnutí výsledků výzkumu a následné doporučení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of balancing work and family life in the Czech Republic and focuses on its various forms. The first part of the thesis focuses on theoretical background - women on the labour market, explanation of the concepts of maternity and parental leave, possibilities of balancing work and family life and the offer of childcare services. The aim of the thesis is to explore support systems that help mothers to combine these two lives, based on a literature search of theories in the field. The practical part deals with the analysis of the lives of working mothers and their forms of balancing work and family life are analysed by means of a questionnaire survey. The last part of the thesis presents a summary of the research results and subsequent recommendations.
