Abstract:

Ústředními tématy téhle bakalářské práce jsou bilingvismus, bilingvní osvojování jazyka a strategie užívané rodiči pro bilingvní výchovu jejich dětí. Cílem teto práce je poukázat na důležitost rodičů v procesu osvojování jazyka a prozkoumat jejich zásadní roli v tomto procesu. Vycházeje ze skutečnosti, že jsou to právě rodiče, s kým jsou děti v denním kontaktu a interakci, prokážu, jaký vliv mají na schopnost svých dětí osvojit si dva nebo více jazyků. Analyzuji různé strategie, o které se rodiče opírají při bilingvní výchově svých dětí. Zaměřuji se na následné strategie: přístup, kdy každý z rodičů mluví s dětmi jiným jazykem, strategii, když se doma mluví minoritním jazykem rozdílným od majoritního jazyku společnosti, trilingvní strategie a strategie míchaní jazyků. Mezi další strategie, o kterých se také zmiňuji, patří strategie minimálního porozumění, strategie vyjádřených odhadů, opakováni rodiči, strategie udržování konverzace a přepínaní mezi jazyky.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the notion of bilingualism, bilingual language acquisition and the strategies applied by parents to raise their children bilingually. The aim of this work is to show the importance of parents in the process of language acquisition and examine their crucial role in the process. Resulting from the fact that it is the parents who the children are in daily contact and interaction with, I show what impact and influence they have on their children’s acquiring the ability to speak two or more languages. I analyze the different strategies they can apply to raise their children bilingually. The strategies I focus on include the one-parent-one-language strategy, the minority language at home strategy, the trilingual strategy and mixing strategy. Among other strategies which are also mentioned stand the Minimal grasp strategy, Expressed guess strategy, Adult repetition, Move on strategy and Code-switching.
