Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá film Šťastnou cestu (1943) režiséra Otakara Vávry z hlediska sociálních a kulturních kontextů, které mohly ovlivnit filmovou produkci v Protektorátu Čechy a Morava. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První část situuje obsah a výrobu filmu do historického kontextu české filmové produkce během okupace. Druhá část se zaměřuje na proces výroby filmu, od vzniku scénáře až po průběh natáčení, propagaci a dobové přijetí. Analytická část práce se zaměřuje na roli kontrastů a konfliktů ve filmu. V projevech jako jsou: žánrová definice snímku, narativní struktura, vizuální charakterizace a vývoj příběhu prostřednictvím kostýmů a výpravy. Práce nabízí alternativní pohled na vnímání protektorátní kinematografie a ukazuje, jak se česká filmová produkce přizpůsobovala omezením a zobrazovala sociální témata se snahou o realismus.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis examines the film Šťastnou cestu (1943), directed by Otakar Vávra, from the perspective of the social and cultural contexts that might have influenced film production in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first section situates the film's content and production within the historical context of Czech film production during the occupation. The second section focuses on the development process of the film, from the inception of the script to the course of filming, promotion, and contemporary reception. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the role of contrasts and conflicts within the film. This includes the concept of genre in the film, the narrative structure, visual characterization, and story development through costumes, sets and props. The thesis offers a different perspective on the perception of Protectorate cinema and highlights how Czech film production adapted to restrictions and depicted social themes with an effort for realism.
