Land use changes of the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá krajinou České republiky a Kazachstánu a změnami, kterými prošla krajina obou států v časovém horizontu posledních 70 let. V práci byly použity následující metody: komparativní (srovnávací) metoda, metoda terénního šetření a kartografická metoda. První část literárního přehledu zahrnuje terminologii na téma „krajina“, zejména definice pojmu její strukturou, rozdělením a různými pojetími krajiny. Druhá část literárního přehledu byla zaměřena na změny v Land-use, kterými prošla krajina obou států za posledních 70 let. Ve výsledkové části sledovaného území byly popisovány přírodní a hospodářské podmínky, konkrétně v Turkestánské oblasti (Kazachstánu) a Jihomoravském kraji (České republiky). Výsledkem komparativní metody mezi Kazachstánem a Českou republikou jsou významné odlišnosti z hlediska přírodních podmínek a využití území, přestože se v obou státech dlouhou dobu prosazoval komunistický režim. Zemědělství není v České republice již prioritou zapříčiněnou úbytkem plochy orné půdy. V Kazachstánu se zemědělská plocha rovněž snížila, ale zemědělství je stále nejdůležitějším odvětvím hospodářství.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the landscape of the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan and the changes that the landscape of both countries has undergone in the time horizon of the last 70 years. The following methods were used in the work: comparative (comparative) method, field survey method and cartographic method. The first part of the literature review includes terminology on the concept of "landscape", especially the definition of the term its structure, division and various concepts of the landscape. The second part of the literature review focused on the changes in Land-use that the country of both countries has undergone over the last 70 years. In the resulting part of the monitored area, natural and economic conditions were described, specifically in the Turkestan region (Kazakhstan) and the South Moravian Region (Czech Republic). The result of the comparative method between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic is a significant difference in terms of natural conditions and land use, although the communist regime has long prevailed in both states. Agriculture is no longer a priority in the Czech Republic caused by the loss of arable land. In Kazakhstan, agricultural land has also declined, but agriculture is still the most important sector of the economy.
