Abstract:
This diploma thesis examines the influence of power on communication behavior of the Republican presidential candidates in the first primary debate of 2008 U.S. presidential election. It is argued that power is the main variable in the candidates’ character, which is besides the candidates’ issue salience crucial aspect of today’s presidential campaigns.
