This paper intended to explain reasons of economic growth in Southeast Asia through five theoretical approaches - neoliberalism, economic nationalism, neomarxist world system theory, endogenous growth theory and strategic trade theory. Práca mala v úmysle vysvetliť príčiny hospodárskeho rastu krajín juhovýchodnej Ázie pomocou piatich teoretických prístupov – neoliberalizmu, ekonomického nacionalizmu, neomarxistickej teórie svetového systému, teórie endogénneho rastu a teórie strategického obchodu.
