Forskolin is a highly substituted labdane diterpenoid isolated from the roots of Indian plant Coleus forskohlii, which has diverse biological effects, including the ability to activate adenylyl cyclase. Forskolin je vysoce substituovaný labdanový diterpenoid izolovaný z kořenů indické byliny Coleus forskohlii mající rozsáhlé biologické účinky, mezi které patří schopnost aktivovat adenylyl cyklázu. Forskolin a jeho deriváty jsou proto unikátním nástrojem na zkoumání biochemie a regulace adenylyl cyklázy a fyziologických funkcí cAMP s potenciálním terapeutickým uplatněním.
