Analysis of Armed Conflicts on Selected Cases

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou ozbrojených konfliktů, konkrétně válkami v Iráku (2003), v Srbsku (1999) a v Libyi (2011). Práce se soustředí na intervence související s těmito konflikty, tedy operaci "Allied Force," operaci "Iraqi Freedom" a operaci "Unified Protector." Zkoumá pozadí těchto konfliktů, příčiny a důsledky vedoucí k intervencím, hlavní aktéry zapojených stran a jejich důsledky. Práce klade důraz na otázky legality a legitimity intervencí, kdy se u všech případů prokázalo, že se jednalo o nelegální a nelegitimní intervence.

Abstract:

The thesis examines armed conflicts, specifically the wars in Iraq (2003), Serbia (1999), and Libya (2011). It focuses on interventions related to these conflicts, namely Operation "Allied Force," Operation "Iraqi Freedom," and Operation "Unified Protector." The thesis investigates the background of these conflicts, the causes and consequences leading to interventions, the main actors of the involved parties, and their implications. Emphasis is placed on the questions of legality and legitimacy of interventions, with all cases demonstrating that they were illegal and illegitimate interventions.
