Francophony in the South Moravian Region

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with francophony in the South Moravian Region, meaning the spread of francophone culture and French language. The first theoretical part describes Franco-Czech relations and works with the concepts of francophony and the Francophony. The second part then focuses on the South Moravian Region (SMR) and its areas, such as education, international cooperation, and particularly cultural events in Brno, as well as in district towns. In the empirical section, the results of the analysis of interviews with several individuals who have insight into francophone culture presented in SMR are presented. This thesis aims to explore francophone activities in SMR, evaluate their significance, and analyze whether the goals set by the International Organization of the Francophonie are being fulfilled. The output of the bachelor thesis will be a mapping of francophone culture in SMR, which could be used for marketing purposes in promoting various events. Furthermore, this thesis could serve as a comprehensive source of information for those interested in francophone culture.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na frankofonii v Jihomoravském kraji, tedy šíření frankofonní kultury a francouzského jazyka. První část teorie popisuje francouzsko-české vztahy a pracuje s pojmy frankofonie a Frankofonie. Druhá část se pak zaměřuje na Jihomoravský kraj (JMK) a jednotlivé oblasti, jako je školství, mezistátní spolupráce a zejména pak kulturní události v Brně, ale i v okresních městech. V empirické části jsou představeny výsledky analýzy rozhovorů s několika osobami, které mají vhled do frankofonní kultury prezentované v JMK. Cílem této práce je prozkoumat frankofonní aktivity v JMK, zhodnotit jejich význam a zanalyzovat, zda jsou naplňovány cíle, které jsou nastaveny Mezinárodní organizací Frankofonie. Výstupem bakalářské práce bude zmapování frankofonní kultury v JMK, což by mohlo být využito pro marketingové účely při propagaci různých akcí. Dále by mohla tato práce sloužit jako ucelený zdroj in-formací pro zájemce o frankofonní kulturu.
