The Establishment of Free Democratic Schools: Organizational and Legislative Process

Abstract:

Svobodná demokratická škola je jedním z typů alternativní školy v zahraničí fungující téměř sto let. V České republice svobodné demokratické školy začaly vznikat teprve nedávno, a právě na zakládání těchto škol je práce zaměřena, konkrétně tedy na organizačně-legislativní proces z pohledu samotných zřizovatelů. Poukazuje na hlavní organizační milníky a legislativní problémy, které musí zřizovatelé překonávat. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení tématu svobodných demokratických škol a jejich organizačně-legislativnímu procesu. V empirické části jsou prezentovány výsledky analýzy hloubkových rozhovorů s pěti respondenty, které jsou řazeny do kategorií dle zjištěných hlavních organizačních milníků a legislativních problémů vnímaných samotnými zřizovateli svobodných demokratických škol.

Abstract:

Although the Free Democratic School, which is a type of alternative school, has been educating abroad for almost a hundred years, it has only recently emerged in the Czech Republic. My thesis is focused on the establishment of these schools, specifically on the organizational and legislative process from the point of view of the founders themselves. It points out the main organizational milestones and legislative problems that the founders must overcome. The theoretical part deals with the definition of free democratic schools and their organizational and legislative process. The empirical part presents the results of the analysis of in-depth interviews with five respondents, categorized according to the main organizational milestones and legislative problems perceived by the founders of Free Democratic Schools.
