Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce zkoumá environmentální aspekty designu. Předmětem práce jsou dvě italská radikální designérská studia (Superstudio a Archizoom Associati), a dále americký designér Victor Papanek. Pomocí analýzy jejich textů a projektů se práce pokouší formulovat jejich význam ve vztahu k environmentálním otázkám. Cílem práce je také popsat kořeny environmentálního myšlení v designu a zjistit, v čem spočívá důležitost uvedených designérů pro současné environmentální bádání v této oblasti. Teoretické ukotvení práce se opírá především o Pachmanové kontextuální pojetí designu.

Abstract:

This master´s thesis examines environmental aspects of design. It is focused on two Italian radical design studios (Superstudio and Archizoom Associati) and an American designer Victor Papanek. Through the analysis of their texts and projects, the thesis attempts to articulate the authors´ relevance to environmental issues. The aim of the thesis is also to describe the origins of environmental thinking in design and ascertain the value of the selected designers in this area. The theoretical framework of the text is provided by Pachmanová’s contextual design.
