Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využití eye-trackingu pro zmapování vztahu metakognitivní rozvinutosti žáka s jeho schopností řešit matematické problémy. Práce je koncipována na dvě hlavní části, a to teoretickou část a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje zvolené podstatné informace, jenž zasvěcují čtenáře do dané problematiky a přispívají k lepšímu pochopení následující praktické části. Důraz je kladen na charakteristiku lidského oka, technologii eye-tracking a její následné využití ve vzdělávání. V neposlední řadě je teorie zaměřena na metakognici. Praktická část je vymezena na metodologii kvantitativně orientovaného výzkumu a analýzu dat. Součástí metodologie je design pedagogického výzkumu, jenž popisuje pilotní testování, předvýzkum a výzkumnou část. Výzkumné části předcházelo pilotní testování, kterého se zúčastnilo celkem 100 žáků 6. ročníku základních škol Ústeckého kraje. Získaná data byla následně kalibrována. Výzkum byl realizovaný v Laboratoří behaviorálních studií (LABS) na Univerzitě Jana Evangelisty Purkyně, kdy se výzkumného provedení zúčastnilo 20 žáků 6. ročníků základních škol Ústeckého kraje. V závěrečné části práce jsou zmíněny dosažené výsledky včetně šesti stanovených hypotéz a eye-trackingových map. Potvrzena byla hypotéza, která předpokládá, že existuje vzájemný vztah (závislosti) metakognitivního monitorování a úspěšnosti v didaktickém testu z matematiky. Dále hypotéza, která předpokládá, že existuje závislost mezi kognitivním zkreslením (bias) a podstatnými a nepodstatnými informacemi v rámci jednotlivých matematických úloh na eye-trackingové mapě.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the use of eye-tracking for mapping the relationship between the students' metacognitive development and their ability to solve mathematical problems. The thesis is divided into two main parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part consists of concrete information, of essential nature, which introduces the reader to the given issue, and thus gives the reader a better understanding of the following practical part. Emphasis is placed on the characteristics of the human eye, eye-tracking technology and its subsequent use in education. Last but not least, the theory is focused on metacognition. The practical part is restricted to a quantitative research methodology and an analysis of the research data. One part of the research methodology is the design of pedagogical research, which describes pilot testing, preliminary research and the research part. The pilot testing, in which a total of 100 6th grade students of primary schools of the Ústí region participated, preceded the research part. The obtained data was subsequently calibrated. The research itself was conducted in the Laboratory of behavioral studies (LABS) at the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyně, when 20 6th grade students of primary schools of the Ústí region participated in the research. The final part of the thesis mentions the achieved results, as well as six hypotheses derived from them and eye-tracking maps. Out of the six hypotheses, two were confirmed. One of them assumes that a mutual relationship between the dependence of metacognitive monitoring and success in the didactic test in mathematics exists. The other confirmed hypothesis assumes that there is a dependence between cognitive distortion (bias) and essential and non-essential information within individual mathematical tasks on the eye-tracking map.
