Formative Assessment in Primary School

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá Formativním hodnocením na prvním stupni základní školy. Teoretická část je nejprve věnována školnímu hodnocení na 1. stupni ZŠ. Druhá část práce se zabývá formativním hodnocením na 1. stupni ZŠ. Je zde specifikováno pět klíčových strategií formativního hodnocení, zavádění tohoto typu hodnocení a jeho výhody a překážky. V neposlední řadě je prezentována perspektiva formativního hodnocení v České republice. Cílem empirické části je analýza a realizace formativního hodnocení ve vybraných třídách 1. stupně ZŠ. Pro potřeby výzkumného šetření byla zvolena smíšená strategie výzkumu a sběr výzkumných dat proběhl konkrétně prostřednictvím metody pozorování, hloubkového rozhovoru, skupinového rozhovoru (focus group) a obsahové analýzy školských dokumentů. Ve výzkumném šetření bylo zjištěno, že každý z oslovených pedagogů využívá techniky a nástroje napříč všemi metodami formativního hodnocení. Zároveň uvádíme širokou škálu využívaných technik a nástrojů formativního hodnocení těmito pedagogy. Výsledky výzkumného šetření mohou být inspirací pro pedagogy, kteří by chtěli prvky formativního hodnocení ve výuce realizovat.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with Formative assessment in primary school. The theoretical part is firstly devoted to the school assessment at the first stage of primary school. The second part of the thesis deals with formative assessment at the first stage of primary school. It specifies five key strategies of formative assessment, the implementation of this type of assessment and its advantages and obstacles. Finally, the perspective of formative assessment in the Czech Republic is presented. The aim of the empirical part is the analysis and implementation of formative assessment in selected classes of primary school. For the purposes of the research investigation, a mixed research strategy was chosen and the collection of research data was carried out specifically through the method of observation, in-depth interview, focus group interview and content analysis of school documents. In the research investigation, it was found that each of the teachers interviewed used techniques and tools across all the formative assessment methods. We also present a wide range of formative assessment techniques and tools used by these teachers. The results of the research investigation may provide inspiration for educators who would like to implement elements of formative assessment in their teaching.
