Attitudes of speakers of Czech language from the area Vyškov towards current czech orthographic standard

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit postoje uživatelů českého jazyka z oblasti Vyškovska k české pravopisné normě a pokusit se odhalit, zda-li má na tyto postoje nějaký vliv vzdělání, zaměstnání a nářeční původ respondentů. Předkládaná práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části pracuji s terminologií spjatou s tématem, zabývám se vývojem českého pravopisu, pravopisných příruček, zejména se zaměřuji na "Pravidla českého pravopisu" z roku 1993, a jednotlivými typy postojů, které uživatelé k jazyku zaujímají. V praktické části jsou zpracovány výsledky vlastního výzkumu, jenž probíhal mezi respondenty různého pohlaví, věku, vzdělání a zaměstnání, kteří pocházejí z oblasti Vyškovska. Tito respondenti v předloženém dotazníku odpovídali na různé otázky týkající se pravopisu, konkrétních pravopisných jevů, jazykových příruček a nářečních prvků. Zjištěné údaje jsou shrnuty v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis was to find attitudes of speakers of Czech language from the area Vyškov towards czech orthographic standard and try to discover, if the education, occupation and dialectal origin has some influence on these attitudes. The presented thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part I am working with the terminology connected with the topic, I am dealing with the development of czech orthography, orthographical manuals, especially with "The Rules of Czech orthography" valid from year 1993, and with the different types of attitudes which speakers take a stance on. In practical part the results of own research are processed. The research was done among respondents of different sexes, age, education and occupation coming from the area Vyškov. These respondents answered the various questions focused on orthography, specific orthographical phenomenons, orthographical manuals and dialectal elements in the questionnaire. Observed data are summarized at the end of thesis.
