The origin, development and current manifestations of the cult of the Virgin Mary on the example of pilgrimage Marianka

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis focuses on two aspects of ethnological recovery phenomenon of pilgrimage - the analysis of available materials, which points to its origin in the context of folk belief, magical practices associated with legends locate images or statues in the source water, the well forest spring or a tree. All this is applied to ona particular pilgrimage site next to the village Zahorska Bystrica nearby Bratislava. Analysis of available materials is also pointed out the historical context of the pilgrimage site Marianka, its creation and architectural composition. The second level is the legwork in the pilgrimage area where the work pursued secular activities during pilgrimages, pilgrims attitude transformation over the last twenty years to the current downturn pilgrimage activities and retreat importance pilgrimage site will secularisation of modern urban transformation and its surroundings.

Abstract:

Práca sa zameriava na dve roviny etnologického zhodnotenia fenoménu pútnictva - na analýzu dostupných materiálov, kde poukazuje na jeho vznik v kontexte ľudovej viery, magických praktík spojených s legendami nájdenia obrazu alebo sošky v prameni vody, v studničke či na strome. To všetko je aplikované na jedno konkrétne pútnické miesto Marianka pri obci Záhorská Bystrica blízko Bratislavy. Analýzou dostupných materiálov je taktiež poukázané na historický kontext pútnického areálu Marianka, jej vznik a architektonické zloženie. Druhou rovinou je terénny výskum v pútnickom areáli, kde práca sleduje profánne aktivity pútnikov počas pútí, zmenu ich postoja počas posledných dvadsať rokov až po súčasný pokles pútnických aktivít a ústup významu pútnického miesta Marianka vplyvom sekularizácie a modernej urbanistickej premeny jej okolia.
