This diploma thesis discusses possibilities of sustainable regional development in rural hinterland of Zlín. Delimitation of rural metropolitan hinterland is deeply discussed in the appendix and I use the functional microregional delimitation of Zlín's hinterland in this diploma thesis instead of traditional administrative delimitation.
