Body composition analysis of women over forty-five

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje zkoumání tělesného složení u žen nad čtyřicet pět let. Výzkum probíhal ve spolupráci se studentkami Ostravské univerzity. Předmětem výzkumu byly ženy nad čtyřicet pět let (dále probandky), kterým bylo na začátku a na konci výzkumu vyhodnoceno složení těla metodou bioimpedanční analýzy. Výška probandek byla měřena na začátku a na konci výzkumu certifikovaným měřidlem ke zjištění výšky. K vyhodnocení tělesného složení byl použit přístroj InBody 370s, umístěný v nutriční poradně Ostravské univerzity (OU). Probandky byly intervenovány o vhodné stravě pro ženy nad čtyřicet pět let. Intervenci provedla studentka prezenčního studia nutriční terapie OU. Studentky magisterského oboru fyzioterapie OU na základě provedených vstupních diagnostik a pohybových testů probandky vyhodnotily a aplikovaly cvičení po dobu tří následujících měsíců od započetí výzkumu. Teoretická část práce je věnována období menopauzy a obecnému složení jednotlivých částí lidského těla. Na tuto kapitolu navazují změny tělesného složení u žen v období menopauzy a zdravotní rizika spojená s tímto obdobím. V praktické části jsou vyhodnoceny a porovnávány výsledky tělesného složení zúčastněných probandek před a po započetí výzkumu na základě hypotéz.

Abstract:

This bachelor work is dedicated to investigation of body composition in women aged over forty five years of age. The research was carried out in cooperation with students of the University of Ostrava. The subject of the research were women aged over forty five years of age (hereafter "probands"), to whom were body composition evaluated at the beginning and at the end of the research by the method of bioimpedance analysis. The height of the probands was measured at the beginning and at the end of the research via certified height measuring device. The "InBody 370s" instrument, located in the Nutrition Clinic of the University of Ostrava (OU), was used to evaluation of body composition. The probands were intervened about the appropriate diet for women aged over forty five years of age. The intervention was carried out by a full-time student of nutritional therapy at OU. Students of the Master's degree in Applied Physiotherapy at OU evaluated the results, based on initial body composition diagnosis and movement tests, and they applied on the probands exercises for three months from the beginning of the research. The bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the menopause period and the general composition of individual parts of the human body. This chapter is followed by changes in body composition in women during menopause period and health risks that are associated with this period. In the practical part, the results of the body composition of the participating probands are evaluated and compared before and after the start of the research on the basis of hypotheses.
