Application of Machine Learning Algorithms in Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá aplikací metod redukce dimenze na data pořízená metodou prvkové analýzy LIBS. Studované metody: PCA, kernel-PCA, SOM a t-SNE jsou porovnávány z pohledu schopnosti nalézt v datech skryté struktury. Ty jsou důležité při analýze heterogenních vzorků. Druhým způsobem porovnání je přesnost, s jakou jsou metody schopny zpětně rekonstruovat původní data z redukované reprezentace.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on application of dimensionality reduction methods on data given by LIBS element analysis. Studied methods: PCA, kernel-PCA, SOM and t-SNE are compared in terms of their ability to find hidden structures in the data. The structures are importatnt for analysis of heterogeneous samples. Second point of view of comparison is the accuracy of inverse reconstruction of the original dataset.
