Corruption and its consequences for economy

Abstract:

Cílem práce „Korupce a její důsledky pro ekonomiku-nástin možnosti řešení ekonometrickým modelem” je zjistit, zda existuje nějaký vztah mezi korupcí a ostatními veličinami, respektive odhalit, co může ovlivnit růst či pokles korupce v zemi. Práce sestává ze čtyř kapitol. První část podrobněji definuje a vymezuje korupci. Druhá část tvoří průřez odbornou literaturou, kde je snaha nalézt indikátory, který mají na korupci vliv. Z toho plyne 9 hypotéz, které jsou v závěru práce přijaty či vyvráceny. V třetí části je podrobněji popsáno měření korupce a největší prostor je věnován právě indexu CPI, se kterým se pracuje ve zbylé části práce. Dále pak kapitola podrobněji popisuje zbylé veličiny a indexy, které se v práci vyskytují. Čtvrtá část tvoří stěžejní část celé práce a to ekonometrický model.

Abstract:

The object of the thesis „Corruption and its consequences for economy” is to analyse the relation between corruption and another quantity which have something to do with the corruption or to clear up what can affect growing or declining of corruption. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first part defines and delimits corruption in detail. Second part makes the literary research. Is an attempt to find indicator, which have effect on corruption. There are 9 hypotheses, which are accepted or negated in the end. The third part is about measuring corruption and the index CPI, which is used in the next part. The third part is also about another index used in the thesis. The fourth part comprises of econometric measures.
