Analysis of the Recruitment Process in Škoda Auto and Volkswagen Dealership

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá náborovým procesem v automobilovém průmyslu, kde se velmi často řeší problém nedostatku kvalitních mechaniků, lakýrníků a servisních techniků. Teoretická část nejprve popisuje personální práci, její vývoj a konkrétní činnosti (zejména získávání a výběr zaměstnanců). Dále je provedena rešerše předešlých studií a literatury, které se zabývají problematikou nedostatku kvalifikovaných pracovníků v průmyslu. Praktickou část práce tvoří konkrétní analýza náborového procesu v automobilovém dealerství, která byla uskutečněna na základě rozhovorů s vedoucími pracovníky a zaměstnanci a rozborem personálních dokumentů. V závěru práce jsou navržena řešení na zlepšení celého procesu a následuje diskuze možných řešení nedostatku kvalifikovaných kandidátů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the recruitment process in the automotive industry, where the shortage of highly competent mechanics, painters and service technicians is often an issue. The theoretical part first describes personnel work, its development and specific activities (especially recruitment and selection of employees). A search of previous studies and literature dealing with the issue of the lack of qualified workers in industry is also conducted. The practical part of the work consists of detailed analysis of the recruitment process within a car dealership, which is based on interviews with senior staff and employees and examining personnel department documentation. At the end of the thesis, solutions to improve the entire process are proposed and possible solutions to the lack of qualified candidates are discussed.
