The Green Hill by Nepomuk

Abstract:

Zámek Zelená Hora je charakteristickým symbolem krajiny Nepomucka, který je postaven na stejnojmenném vrchu. Podle legendy z tohoto vrchu žehnal biskup Vojtěch zdejšímu kraji. Vystřídalo se zde mnoho šlechtických rodů, ale do historie celého kraje se zlatým písmem zapsala kněžna Vilemína Auerpergová. Historií této pamětihodnosti se zabýval regionální spisovatel Alexandr Berndorf, rodák z Nepomuku. Je také autorem velmi cenné práce, čtyřsvazkové Topografie města Nepomuka z let 1540 ? 1940.

Abstract:

The castle Zelená Hora is a distinctive symbol of the Nepomuk country, which was built on the same name hill. According to the legend from this hill a bishop was blessing the whole region. Many noble families were followed here, but the princess Vilemína Auerpergová was the most famous one. The history of the castle is engaged with the regional writer Alexander Berndorf, native of Nepomuk. He is the author of highly valuable four fascicles work, The Topography of the town Nepomuk from the years 1540 ? 1940.
