Application options of symbiotic and protective species of fungi for vegetable production improvement

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci s názvem „Možnosti uplatnění symbiotických a protektivních druhů hub pro zlepšení produkce zeleniny“ byl zkoumán vliv mykorhizních a podpůrných hub na některé růstové parametry salátu římského (Lactuca sativa L. var. longifolia Lam.), odrůdy ‘Bertolt‘. Práce byla rozdělena na literární rešerši, která se zabývala popisem mykorhizních hub a ostatních symbiotických mikroorganismů a jejich potenciálu v zahradnické a zemědělské produkci, a praktickou část, kdy došlo k inokulaci salátu římského některými druhy mykorhizních hub a jedné houby podpůrné. U rostlin salátu došlo k inokulaci mykorhizními houbami Rhizophagus irregularis a Funneliformis caledonium, a dále pak protektivní a podpůrnou houbou Trichoderma harzianum, která napomáhá v příjmu živin a rostliny rovněž chrání před parazitický houbami. Se stejnými inokuly byly založeny dva pokusy. Jeden ve skleníku, a druhý ve fytotronu. Předmětem podrobného zkoumání pak byl především pokus ve fytotronu. Zjišťoval se počet listů, výška a hmotnost rostlin. Dále pak kvantový výtěžek fotosyntézy (QY), normalizovaný diferenční vegetační index (HDVI), antioxidační aktivita a rovněž zjištění kolonizace kořenů mykorhizními houbami pomocí světelného a fluorescenčního mikroskopu. U mykorhizních hub byla prokazatelně zjištěna kolonizace kořenů, a rovněž některé další parametry vykazovaly zcela zřejmě lepší výsledky oproti kontrolním rostlinám.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis named “Application options of symbiotic and protective species of fungi for vegetable production improvement” has been examined an effect of mycorrhizal and supportive fungi on some of romaine lettuce growth parameters (Lactuca sativa L. longifolia Lam.), from variety ‘Bertolt’. The thesis was divided into literary research, which dealt with describtion of mycorrhizal fungi and other symbiotic microorganisms and their potential in horticultural and agricultural production, and practical part, where took place the inoculation of Romaine lettuce with some species of mycorrhizal fungi and one supportive fungi. The salad plants were inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi Rhizophagus irregularis and Funneliformis caledonium, and with one supportive and protective fungi Trichoderma harzianum, which helps with nutrient intake and also protect plants from parasitic fungi. With the same inoculum were established two attempts. One was in the greenhouse and the second one was in the phytotron. The detailed examination was mainly made on the second attempt. It has been found the number of leaves, height and weight of the plants. Next it has been found quantum yield of photosynthesis (QY), normalized differential vegetation index (HDVI), antioxidant activity and we also found roots colonization by mycorrhizal fungi using light and fluorescence microscope. In the mycorrhizal fungi was demonstrably found roots colonization and also some other parameters showed much more better results than the control plants.
