Corporate social responsibility and its importance in contemporary society

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je společenská odpovědnost firem a její pojetí v současné společnosti. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení pojmu společenská odpovědnost firem a základní ideové rámce této koncepce. Součástí teoretické části je i vývoj a současný stav koncepce společenské odpovědnosti firem v České republice a v zahraničí. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu aktivit, které jsou vykonávány vybraným subjektem. Součástí analýzy je i navržený opatření, které by mohla vybraný subjekt realizovat. Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat vybranou firmu a navrhnout opatření na zlepšení v rámci koncepce společenské odpovědnosti firem. Diplomová práce má ověřit následující hypotézy: 1)Analyzovaná společnost vykonává aktivity v rámci CSR spíše povrchně s cílem zvýšit svoje PR. 2)Rozsah aktivit spojených s CSR není příliš rozsáhlý.

Abstract:

The theme of this dissertation is the corporate social responsibility and its importance in contemporary society. The diploma thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes the definition of the term corporate social responsibility and the fundamental ideological frameworks of this conception. The next part of the theoretical part includes the development and contemporary situation of corporate responsibility in Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part is focused on an analysis of activities, which are done by selected company. The part of the practical part is also the suggestions, which could be realized by the selected company. The goal of my dissertation is to analyse the chosen company and propose the steps of its improvement under the terms of approach of social responsibility of companies. This dissertation wanted to verify the following hypothesis: 1) The analysed company practises the activities within the Czech Republic more likely superficially with the goal to improve its PR. 2) Extend of activities connected with the CSR is not very extensive.
