Citizen liability insurance

Abstract:

Pojištění odpovědnosti občana je běžně nabízeným produktem komerčních pojišťoven. Tento produkt může pomoci v případech, kdy na základě právního předpisu vznikla pojištěnému povinnost k náhradě škody či újmy, kterou svým chováním způsobil někomu druhému. Mezi povinností k náhradě škody ze zákona a rozsahem nabízené pojistné ochrany však může být u jednotlivých pojišťoven značný rozdíl. Cílem této práce je porovnat, do jaké míry lze očekávat shodnou pojistnou ochranu u vybraných pojistitelů a pokrýt tak škody, za které je občan svým chováním odpovědný.

Abstract:

Civil liability insurance is a commonly offered product of commercial insurance companies. This product can help in cases of an obligation arisen based on a regulation for the insured to recompense somebody for damage or harm that was inflicted to somebody else by his or her demeanour. But there can be a considerable difference by individual insurance companies between the obligation under the law to recompense somebody for damage and the scope of the offered insurance protection. The aim of this work is to compare to what extent it is possible to expect the same insurance protection by selected insurers and to cover damages in this way for which a citizen is responsible by his or her demeanour.
