Práce se zaměřuje na středověké téma sedmi smrtelných hříchů a sedm nebeských ctností, jak je definuje středověká rytířská a heroická literatura. Dále analyzuje využití těchto hříchů a ctností ve čtyřech vybraných románech Iris Murdoch. The thesis focuses on the medieval topic of the seven deadly sins and the seven heavenly virtues and analyses the use of sins and virtues as defined by the medieval heroic and knightly literature in the four selected novels by Iris Murdoch.
