Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část nastiňuje učení u dospělých z psychologického hlediska. Dále pak vymezuje pojmy autonomní učení a činnostní výuku, její charakteristické vlastnosti a využití v určitých učebních metodách.
