Trade policy of Kazakhstan in the context of current dynamics of international relations

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce, je identifikace klíčových charakteristik a potenciálních směrů orientace obchodní politiky Kazachstánu, které, pod vlivem trendů a současných událostí, v mezinárodním prostředí, působí na obchodní politiku Kazachstánu. Práce klade velký důraz na ekonomicko-politické vztahy Kazachstánu s jeho nejvýznamnějšími partnery. Výchozím předpokladem je, že tyto vztahy ovlivňují směr obchodní politiky země, a také, že ovlivňují objem zahraničního obchodu vůči těmto aktérům. Současně se však práce snaží reflektovat i dopady událostí a trendů v prostředí mezinárodních vztahů. Tato práce se nejdříve, v rámci teoretické části, zabývá teorií obchodní politiky a tím, co je chápáno jako "současné trendy v prostředí mezinárodních vztahů". V empirické (druhé) části práce seznamuje čtenáře se současnou ekonomickou situací v Kazachstánu a tím, jaký je hospodářský potenciál země do budoucnosti. V rámci třetí kapitoly je provedena SWOT analýza kazašské obchodní politiky. Čtvrtá kapitola konečně dává kazašskou obchodní politiku plně do mezinárodně-vztahové roviny a nastiňuje několik možných scénářů budoucího vývoje obchodní politiky Kazachstánu.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to identify the key characteristics and ways of a potential future orientation of the trade policy of Kazakhstan. This is done under acknowledgement that trends and current events, in the international environment, influence the trade policy of Kazakhstan. The thesis places great emphasis on the economic-political relations of Kazakhstan with its most important partners. The assumption is that these relationships influence the direction of a country's trade policy, and also that they influence the volume of foreign trade with these actors. However, at the same time, the thesis also tries to reflect the impact of events and trends in the environment of international relations. Within the framework of the theoretical part, this thesis deals with the theory of trade policy and it explains what it is understood as "current trends in the environment of international relations". In the empirical (second) part of the work, the reader is introduced to the current economic situation in Kazakhstan and what is the economic potential of the country in the future. In the third chapter, a SWOT analysis of the Kazakh trade policy is carried out. The fourth chapter finally puts Kazakhstan's trade policy fully into the perspective of the international relations and outlines several possible scenarios for the future development of Kazakhstan's trade policy.
