Lifelong learning of people with intellectual disabilities in the Moravian-Silesian Region

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou celoživotního vzdělávání dospělých osob s mentálním postižením v Moravskoslezském kraji. Cílem práce je analýza a zmapování možností nabídky celoživotního vzdělávání dospělých osob s mentálním postižením právě v tomto kraji. V práci je vymezena problematika mentální retardace a dospělosti osob s mentálním postižením. Popsán je současný systém vzdělávání osob s mentálním postižením v České republice a důraz je kladen na oblast celoživotního vzdělávání. V empirické části je představen průzkum jak kvantitativní, tak i kvalitativní, který mapuje možnosti a dostupnost celoživotního vzdělávání osobám s mentálním postižením v Moravskoslezském kraji. Součást práce tvoří také rozhovory s poskytovateli celoživotního vzdělávání.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with the issue of lifelong education of adults with mental disabilities in the Moravian-Silesian region. The aim of this work is to analyze and map the possibilities of offering lifelong education for adults with mental disabilities in this region. The work defines the issue of mental retardation and adulthood of people with mental disabilities. The current system of education of people with mental disabilities in the Czech Republic is described and emphasis is placed on the area of lifelong education. The empirical part presents a survey, both quantitative and qualitative, which maps the possibilities and availability of lifelong education for people with mental disabilities in the Moravian-Silesian region. The work includes interviews with lifelong education providers.
