První část práce stručně zminňuje autorovu biografii, okolnosti vzniku tohoto díla a zároveň se pokouší vysvětlit význam tohoto díla vzhledem k podobným traktátm, které vyšly dříve resp. později (po Prelleurově smrti). The thesis concerns a treatise of Peter Prelleur The Modern Musick-Master or the Universal Musician published in London, 1731. The first part of the thesis briefly remembers the authors biography, origin of the treatise and tries to explain the meaning of the work with respect to similar treatises published earlier and later, resp.
