Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá dílem Petera Prelleura The Modern Musick-Master or the Universal Musician, který vyšel v Londýn r. 1731. První část práce stručně zminňuje autorovu biografii, okolnosti vzniku tohoto díla a zároveň se pokouší vysvětlit význam tohoto díla vzhledem k podobným traktátm, které vyšly dříve resp. později (po Prelleurově smrti). Jsou uvedeny také další důležité dobové okolnosti londýnského hudebního života, politického i sociálního vývoje. Druhá část práce, příloha, obsahuje 126 stran transliterace s paralelním překladem (anglicko-českým) tohoto díla.

Abstract:

The thesis concerns a treatise of Peter Prelleur The Modern Musick-Master or the Universal Musician published in London, 1731. The first part of the thesis briefly remembers the authors biography, origin of the treatise and tries to explain the meaning of the work with respect to similar treatises published earlier and later, resp. (after the authors death). Other important circumstances of the contemporary Londons musical life, political and social development are also mentioned. The second part, Appendix, contains 126 pages of transliteration with a parallel translation (English-Czech) of the treatise.
