Kalcifikace aortální chlopně jsou třetí nejčastější příčinou onemocnění srdce u dospělých a představují tak závažný medicínský problém. Calcification of aortic valve is the third leading cause of heart disease in adults. Germline mutations in the NOTCH1 gene are associated with this disease. The aim of this work was to perform a mutational analysis of the NOTCH1 gene in patients suffering from this disease.
