Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na proces učení se angličtiny jako cizího jazyka sluchově postiženými studenty. Pojmy hluchota a kultura neslyšících jsou vysvětleny v úvodu teoretické části. Komunikační metody a vzdělávací proces sluchově postižených studentů jsou dále vyšetřeny. V souvislosti s tím jsou nastíněny překážy, kterým jsou sluchově postižení studenti v učebním procesu vystaveni. Dále jsou zmíněny efektivní strategie, které napomáhají sluchově postiženým ve výuce. V praktické části bakalářské práce je teoretická část porovnána s emipirickými daty získanými z výzkumu. Cílem práce je zdůraznit problematiku sluchově postižených studentů v procesu učení se cizího jazyka a poodhalit jejich postoje a motivaci k učení se anglického jazyka. Tato zjištění mohou vést později k detailnějšímu výzkumu v budoucnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the process of learning English as a foreign language by deaf students. In the theoretical part the problem of deafness and deaf culture is introduced. The communication methods used by deaf people are mentioned and the educational process of deaf students is examined, including the obstacles which may the deaf have in the learning process. The effective strategies used in learning a spoken language by deaf learners are also suggested.In the practical part the theory is compared to the empirical data gained from the research. The aim of the work is to highlight the problem of deaf students learning a spoken language and to reveal their attitudes and motivations for learning English which may lead to a deeper research in the future.
