Kvantitativní analýza dat hraje klíčovou roli při testování hypotéz v ekologických výzkumech. Přestože existují různé softwary, pomocí kterých lze kvantitativně analyzovat ekologická data, stoupá obliba a využívanost programovacího jazyka a softwaru R. Despite various analytical software being available (free or proprietary) on websites, there is a significant increase in the R language and software popularity.
