The principal evolutionary periodes of the European Communities and the European Union regional engineering

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem regionální politiky a vychází z historicko-politických událostí, které se staly především na evropském kontinentě. Pojednává o prvních impulsech sjednotit Evropu. První myšlenky se zrodily před druhou světovou válkou. Společenství uhlí a oceli bylo však založeno v roce 1952. Následoval vznik Evropského společenství pro atomovou energii a evropského hospodářského společenství. Práce se dále zabývá počátečními fázemi koordinované regionální politiky, vznikem euroregionů a založením strukturálních fondů. Regionální politika získávala stále větší význam, a v současnosti do ní plyne více než třetina celkového objemu rozpočtu Evropské unie. Práce se dále zabývá aktuálními otázkami a Lisabonskou smlouvou.

Abstract:

Thesis is dealing with the regional policy development and is based on the historical-political events, that have become particularly on the European continent. Thesis deals with the first impulses to unite the Europe. First ideas were born before the Second World War. But the European Steel and Coal Community was found in 1952. Than it followed by the foundation of the European Atomic Energy Community and the European Economic Community. Thesis is also dealing with the initial phases of coordinated regional policy, Euroregions creation and establishment of the Structural Funds. The Regional policy´s importance is still increasing, and now it takes more than a one third share of the total budget of the European union. Thesis also deals with current issues and the Lisbon Treaty.
