The research of the effectiveness of psychodynamic group psychotherapy

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je výzkum účinnosti skupinové psychodynamické psychoterapie v podmínkách Denního stacionáře Horní Palata v Praze. Do výzkumu bylo zahrnuto 159 klientů, převážně s diagnózami v neurotickém okruhu, okruhu poruch osobnosti a afektivních poruch. Analýze byla podrobena data získaná prostřednictvím nástrojů měření SCL-90-R, MMPI-2 a Dotazníku životní spokojenosti před zahájením sedmitýdenního psychoterapeutického programu a po jeho skončení. Data byla sesbírána z archivovaných karet klientů stacionáře z let 2008-2011. Teoretická část práce se zabývá skupinovou, psychodynamickou psychoterapií, působícími proměnnými v psychoterapii a výzkumem v psychoterapii. Ve výzkumné části jsou statisticky ověřovány hypotézy týkající se zjišťování účinnosti psychoterapie v předem vymezených oblastech lidského fungování, dále je zjišťován vliv diagnózy a sociodemografických charakteristik na výsledný efekt léčby.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of psychodynamic group psychotherapy in a public outpatient psychotherapy unit Horní Palata in Prague. 159 clients were included in the research, mostly being diagnosed with neurotic spectrum diagnoses, personality disorders and affective disorders. All of the analysed data were the results of SCL-90-R, MMPI-2 and Life-satisfaction questionnaire methods and were collected from the archived client cards from years 2008-2011. Particular attention has been paid to the measurements that took place prior to the 7 week psychotherapeuthic programs and after their completion. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the psychodynamic group psychotherapy, influencing factors in psychotherapy and the research in psychotherapy. The research section then concentrates on the statistical verification of the hypotheses. These hypotheses deal in the effectiveness of psychotherapy in predefined areas of human functioning, also clearing up the influence of diagnosis and socio-demographic characteristics on the effect of treatment.
