Floods as the current crisis situation and the societal need to address them

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci jsme se zabývali vlivem povodní jako krizové situace na jednotlivé oblasti života postižených lidí. Nejprve jsme vymezili pojem krize a popsali příčiny jejího vzniku. Ve druhé kapitole se věnujeme projevům působení krize na člověka, vztahu mezi krizí a nemocemi a také obrannými mechanismy a vyrovnávacími strategiemi organismu. Pro praktickou část byla zvolena metoda polostrukturovaného rozhovoru doplněná dotazníky. Výsledky byly rekódovány z volných výpovědí do kategorií, dotazníky byly zpracovány kvantitativně. U vybrané skupiny obyvatel z oblastí postižených povodněmi jsme zjišťovali, zda tato krizová situace ovlivnila různé oblasti jejich života, dopad povodní na jejich psychiku a jak hodnotlili pomoc, které se jim po povodni dostalo.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with floods as a crisis situation and their impact on different spheres of victims? lives. Firstly, we defined the term of the crisis, and we described causes of its creation. The second chapter examines the impact of the crisis on humans, the relati-onship between the crises and illnesses as well as the defensive mechanisms and strategies for balancing the body. For the practical part, the method of a semistructured interview supplemented by surveys has been chosen. The results have been recoded from open statements into categories. Sur-veys have been processed quantitatively. For the group of inhabitants selected from the areas affected by floodings the affect of the crisis on different areas of their lives as well as the impact of the flood on their mind and their judgement of the received assistance have been investigated.
